Lesson 9 Your 1 in 33 million, point of difference
CliftonStrengths (StrengthFinder) can help identify and clarify the uniqueness of each person. It can give a lens of the cognitive diversity within your organisation and team and assist people as they seek to apply and amplify what is best in them.
There are 34 strength themes in total. If you completed a Top 5 profile you were presented with your 5 CliftonStrengths in order of dominance. These Strengths Themes were identified and refined based on 50 years of research, in 48 countries, and on tens of millions of profile completes. 5 strengths as you and in any order is 1 in 278,256
5 strengths as you in the order of your results is 1 in 33,390,000
34 strengths as you in the order of your results is 1 in 259,000,000,000,000
A Metaphor for Uniqueness
Our strengths are not independent of each other. They blend and bend together, moving up and down the order of dominance depending on who we are with, what we are doing and where we are. The cake doesn’t fundamentally change, but the weighting of the ingredients will slightly alter each time.

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
