Lesson 6 Course Review

One of the things people want most from work is a manager who's a lot like a coach - someone who can help them learn, grow, and develop.  This is done by

  1. Asking the right questions “It is the question that enlightens, not the answer” Eugene Ionesco.

  2. Adapting our approach to each person on your team so what you say can be heard

Activity Complete the Key Learning section on Page 8 of your Boss to Coach Coaching Notes answering the following:

What is one thing you have discovered?  What did you learn?

What is one thing you will do differently? What is an action you will take?

What is one word to describe how you are feeling? We feel before we think and therefore it is important to know this for any topic

Activity If you have a coaching conversation scheduled, bring your Boss to Coach Coaching Notes and Work Styles Profile Report with you.  If you do not have a coach scheduled, make time to share these with your manager or a colleague.
