Purpose
Help support and to develop frontline managers to lead your teams and provide simple and practical tools to do so.
Process
Introduce the three coaching conversations that help managers move from being a boss to coach
Show how a few key questions and tools can support these conversations
Leverage the thinking of Simon Sinek, a well-known author and consultant who focuses on leadership. Simon is best known for popularising the concept of WHY in his first Ted Talk in 2009. It has since become one of the most watched talks of all time on TED.com, with 37+ million views.
To practice through either a 1-1 coach debrief, or will a fellow people manager/colleague
Outcome
Confidence to use the three sets of Boss to Coach questions with your team to support their performance and development.
Before We Start, Do These Following Actions
Download and Print the Coaching Notes or complete the sections electronically in the PDF. There are sections within these notes which we will ask you to update as we go.
Complete the three profile tools found in the Work Styles Profile in either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets by answering the questions in the Learning Style, Appreciation Style, and Communication Style tabs. This will produce a summary report to share.
